Wind Turbine: Why Is Honest Power Important?

Dec.19.2025

In recent years, wind power has become a new power generation option for many enterprises and users due to its clean and renewable nature.

However, in the current market, some merchants, in an attempt to seize the low-price market, resort to the method of "exaggerated power" - for instance, claiming a 5kW product as a 1kW one. This makes their products extremely low in price, thereby misleading consumers.

This behavior seriously harms the vital interests of customers. As a manufacturer that insists on producing wind turbines with genuine power, today we will analyze the harms of exaggerated power and how to choose the wind turbine with real power.

Insufficient Electricity Demand

Power is generally the core selection criterion for users when purchasing wind turbines.Turbines with exaggerated power, such as a 5kW wind turbine, may actually only output 1kW, far from meeting the users' expected power supply requirements.

In this situation, when users install these turbines to supply power to their homes or businesses, the generated electricity is far from meeting expectations, or even fails to generate electricity at all, thus unable to meet their electricity demands. This requires users to purchase additional equipment and undertake repeated construction, which not only increases the initial purchase cost but also prolongs the construction period.

Poor Quality, Fails to Reach the Specified Power

The power of a wind turbine is directly related to its own structure and the load-bearing capacity of its core components (such as permanent magnet generators and blades). For turbines with fake power, either small-power wind turbines are exaggerated in power, or to reduce costs, inferior and low-quality components are used: thin and fragile blades are substituted for high-strength blades, and the internal coils of the permanent magnet generator are very few, failing to reach the specified power.

During actual operation, it may also lead to safety accidents: In strong wind conditions, the blades may break or fall off due to being unable to withstand the wind load, damaging surrounding equipment or injuring personnel; the unstable fuselage structure may cause the entire machine to collapse, etc.

Increased Operating Costs

Turbines with exaggerated power have poor quality and unreasonable design, resulting in extremely poor operational stability and a much higher failure rate than regular products. Therefore, users need to frequently replace damaged components (such as blades, permanent magnet generators, etc.) during use. They not only have to bear the continuous cost of spare parts but also invest a lot of manpower costs for maintenance and debugging.

Moreover, unscrupulous sellers selling exaggerated products often lack a complete after-sales system. Once the product has a problem, they either shift the blame or simply disappear. Users' after-sales demands cannot be resolved at all. When users look for other suppliers to purchase spare parts, it is difficult to match their products.

For example, a customer thought their wind turbine was 5kW, but the actual power was only 1kW. During maintenance, they had to purchase 5kW blades or generators, but when they bought them back, they still couldn't match their own machine. The falsely labeled products seem to have a lower purchase price, but when combined with subsequent costs, the overall operating cost is actually much higher than that of regular products, making customers "losing more than they gain".

How to Choose The Wind Turbine With Real Power?

When purchasing a wind turbine, do not blindly pursue low prices. To get a wind turbine with real power, the most obvious method is to look at the parameters of the blades. You can compare the blade lengths of wind turbines of the same power from different suppliers. If there is a significant difference, choose the one with longer blades, as it will have greater power.

Say No to Exaggerated Power. We Overdeliver.

The healthy development of the wind power generation industry cannot be achieved without the core principle of "honest operation". As a reputable manufacturer specializing in the production of wind turbines and foreign trade, DHC has always adhered to producing wind turbines with real power output. Our products undergo strict quality inspections, have high component compatibility, strong operational stability, lower operation and maintenance costs, and can provide complete after-sales guarantees (such as technical guidance, spare parts supply, maintenance services, etc.).
